Wed September 23rd Tiverton Canal Horse-Drawn Barge Trip
Leave Abbey Manor at 10.00 and Bus Station 10.15 Return to Yeovil for 18.00
Time to look around Tiverton before going to the Canal where we will enjoy a 2½hr trip on the last horse-drawn barge in the Westcountry. Relax and unwind as we float along the peaceful, unspoilt canal with the gentle rhythmic clip clop of hooves. Listen to birdsong and the occasional call from waterfowl.
During the voyage the skipper will share some interesting stories and anecdotes about the canal, horses and history
The barge is carpeted throughout with fully upholstered seating. Other facilities include a fully licensed bar/shop for refreshments and or gifts (card or cash) and modern flush toilet. Access to the barge is via 3 steps.
Please note you are requested not to bring your own drinks because there is a bar on board.
