Note that our meetings now start at 10:15am and finish at 11:45am.

Following on from our meeting in August on the arrival of the Romans in Britain, we will further explore the impact that the Roman had on Britain.

Mark has kindly volunteered already to give a short presentation about the enigmatic "Druids" and dispel some of the things that we may think are correct.

For our second / third topics we are awaiting speakers. If someone wants to talk about an element of history that traverses a longer period that would be greatly appreciated - for example, we could track religion / transport / politics / agriculture / women over several meetings.

If you want to come along to our meeting for the first time you would be made very welcome!

You just need to turn up if interested - there is no need to come prepared; only to enjoy yourself; learn a bit about our history and have a good natter about how the past has had an impact on today.
