This month we are very lucky to have a talk that links science with Yeovil: Yeovil v The World of Photography – Sandy Pitt (u3a Photography group)

Sandy will talk about the evolution of the camera comparing what was going on in Yeovil on the same dates. For example, 1826 was the year of the first permanent photo taken and also the establishment of Piittards glove making in Yeovil.

Sandy will take us on a journey from the pinhole effect to the latest camera/smartphone and the parallel evolution of Yeovil.
