Founded in 1982, u3a is a UK-wide movement of locally-run interest groups that provide a wide range of opportunities to come together to learn for fun. Members explore new ideas, skills and activities together.
There are 1,057 u3as with nearly 400,000 members; and is open to everyone who’s not working full-time.
u3a has members who draw upon their knowledge and experience to teach and learn from each other but there are no qualifications to pass – it is just for pleasure. Learning is its own reward.
It's all voluntary; Yeovil u3a is home to many activity groups covering many different subjects - from art to Words for pleasure and everything in between, both active & passive.

Monthly meetings
Our monthly meeting is held at the Labour Club, Yeovil on the 1st Friday of the month - doors open at 10.00am.
Visitors are welcome (£2 charge).
We have a variety of speakers and meetings are well attended. Refreshments are available (tea, coffee & biscuits £1) together with information about forthcoming events etc.
We also have a group event every weekday during the year (except on public holidays)

MEMBERSHIP FOR 2024
For the year 2023-2024(Sept-Aug) membership will remain at £45.
If you are joining after the start of our year there is a pro-rata reduction in the joining fee which is detailed in the membership information
Once you have joined Yeovil u3a, there is no extra charge for attending any of our groups or events, with the exception of anything you consume, i.e. teas or coffees, lunches and of course trips and outings. Attendance at all groups is included in your annual fee.
